QuteBrowser: Quick Review
Today I learned about a minimal browser called QuteBrowser while watching one of DistroTube‘s YouTube videos (if you havn’t watched this guy you should!). So I installed it on my Arch system.
So far I have enjoyed using it. There is a lot to get used to as it uses keybinds to perform functions such as pressing “o” to open a URL or “x” then “O” to open a new tab behind the tab I am currently viewing. You can still use your mouse for the most part.
One of the things to caught my attention was that you can open videos in an external player like MPV from a site such as youtube and it will get past the AD’s.
I will give this browser a go and come back with a better and more indepth review. Also look for some possible tutorials for QuteBrowser.
